This is the done-for-you path, and it is also how the trial works: everywhere else a trial starts with you building your own board and installing a device. Here we do that half day, and your thirty days start once it is on the wall.

It keeps going without the internet
The board holds its own copy of your menu on the device behind the screen. When the Wi-Fi drops, it keeps rendering — and it keeps switching from breakfast to lunch on time, because the schedule lives on the device too, not in the cloud. When the power blips at four in the morning it comes back on its own, to the right menu for that hour.
Most players cache something, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The difference is how long, what happens on day three, and whether anyone picks up the phone.

We sell by the year. Year one covers the board design, the players and the install. After that you pay the licence and nothing else — and the second number is printed next to the first one, here, rather than discovered at renewal.

How it adds up. The licence is $120, $240 or $420 per screen per year. Year one also carries onboarding: $349 for the board design — charged once per account, not per screen, because one board is shown on however many screens you own — plus $149 a screen to deploy it, on Pro and Signature. Signature swaps the $349 stock design for a $749 template drawn for your business. Starter has no deploy fee because you install it yourself.
The annual licence is twelve times the monthly rate with no discount, which is the same thing Yodeck does — their annual plans carry a 0% price discount and the incentive is a free player. We include the player in the deploy fee instead. The concession belongs on the line you pay once, never on the licence you pay forever.
Menu Care — where you send us the changes and we make them — is $89 a month whether you have one screen or nine. It is flat per account, so it gets cheaper per screen every time you add one.

The questions people actually ask
Is there a free trial?
Yes — thirty days, and we set it up for you. It is not a signup form: send us your menu, we build your actual board and stand it up on your screen, and the thirty days start from the day it is working. A card is required to start the trial. If it is not right at the end of it, you have lost nothing and neither have we — and if it is, you keep the board you have already been running.
What happens if my internet goes out?
Nothing. The board holds its own copy of the menu on the device behind the screen, and it holds the schedule too — so it keeps rendering, and it still switches from breakfast to lunch at eleven. If the power goes out it comes back on its own to the right menu for that hour. What you lose while the internet is down is the ability to push a change from your phone; the change lands as soon as you are back.
What does it cost, all in?
Pro at two screens is $1,127 in year one and $480 a year after that. Year one is bigger because it carries the things you only buy once: $349 to design your board (once per account, not per screen) and $149 a screen to deploy it, which includes the player. Starter, where you install it yourself, is $589 in year one and $240 after.
Can I just do it myself?
Yes, and we publish that path rather than hiding it. Starter gives you the templates, the editor and the same offline behaviour, and you mount your own screens on hardware you already own. You skip the deploy fee entirely. You do the hanging and the typing.
Do I have to buy hardware from you?
On Pro and Signature the player is included in the deploy fee — one per screen, pre-flashed and set to boot straight to your board. If you already have a device you would rather use, Starter is the tier for that and there is nothing to buy.
Am I locked in?
There is no contract. The licence is annual and it simply ends if you do not renew. To be exact about what that means: every screen on your plan stays current, and a screen beyond your plan stops receiving updates — it does not get switched off from here.
What if I am not in Monroe County, New York?
Then we cannot install it, and we are not going to pretend the drive is free. Starter is the honest tier outside Monroe County — you get the board designed and the software, and you put the screen up. If you are just over the line, email hello@resteasyboards.com and ask; sometimes the answer is yes.
