A ROC Web Tech product
One person, in Rochester
Rest Easy Boards is built by Connor Meador at ROC Web Tech, a web shop in Rochester, NY. It is not a startup and it is not a reseller of somebody else's platform.
This started because a diner on Mt Hope Avenue had a menu board running on software that was old, awkward and going away, and the alternatives were all the same shape: a per-screen licence, an editor, and a link to a mounting guide. Nobody was offering the part that the owner actually wanted, which was for someone to do it.
So that is the product. The software is real — it renders the board on the device, it holds the schedule locally, it survives an outage, and you can drive all of it from your phone. But the thing being sold is a board on your wall that is right, and a person you can call when it is not.
That shape has a cost and the site says so on the pricing page rather than hiding it: our licence is not the cheapest in the category and it is not going to be. Yodeck starts at $8 a screen. If the cheapest software is what you want, buy theirs. We are the answer when you would rather someone else did it.
It also has a limit, and the site says that too: on-site work covers Monroe County, New York. There is no national install network behind this, because there is no national anything behind this. Outside the county you can still buy the software and put the screen up yourself, and we will tell you that in the first reply rather than at the quote.
How this fits with ROC Web Tech
ROC Web Techis the agency: websites, local SEO, and the Google Business Profile that carries the reviews. Rest Easy Boards is a product of that agency rather than a separate company — same person, same phone number, same city. We say so explicitly here and in the footer because a product that hides its parent is a product you cannot check up on.
Publish the number
Every price on this site is printed, including the year-one total that other people mention on the phone at the end. If a price is not on the pricing page, it is not a price we charge.
Publish the loss
The comparison pages open with where the competitor beats us. A comparison that only contains rows we win is an advertisement, and everyone can tell.
No invented customers
Every business shown on this site is marked “Example board” unless it is a real customer who said yes. There are no stock-photo testimonials here and there never will be.
A trial you do not have to set up
Thirty days, starting when the board is on your wall and working — because a trial you have to build yourself is a trial nobody finishes. We do the half day. A card is required to start it, and there is no signup form.
Come and check the claims
Break the demo board. Read the comparison page where we lose. Then decide.
