Digital menu boards for restaurants
A menu board that changes when your menu changes, without a print run. Designed, installed and looked after by one person in Rochester, NY.
What you’ll actually pay
- Year one — 2 screens on Pro
- $1,127
- Every year after

Year one covers the board design, the players and the install — the things you only buy once. After that you pay for the licence and the service, and nothing else. The first thirty days are a trial that starts at go-live, and there is no contract.

- Flat-rate changes, any number of screens
- 30-day trial, no contract
What is different about a restaurant board
Why this is not just a stock template with the words swapped
Restaurants change a price and a print shop charges for it twice. Here you change it from your phone and the board is right in ten seconds.
Time of day
When a restaurant board changes
Drag the clock. The board changes on its own schedule, read from the device's own clock — which is why it keeps doing it with the internet cut.
Tuesday 8:00 am
Showing: Dinner
- Dinner · 4:00pm - 10:00pm
- Entrees and the wine list.
- Late · 10:00pm - 12:00am
- Short list, bar snacks only.
The schedule lives on the device, not in the cloud. That is why the board keeps switching on time with the internet cut — the two claims on this site are really one claim.
Two ways to buy this
Done for you, or do it yourself
Path one
Do it for me
Send us a photo of your current menu — a printout, a PDF, a napkin. We build the board, set up the breakfast/lunch switch with you, drive over, hang the screens and turn it on. You get a working board and a phone number, not a login and a tutorial.
- We lay out every item and price for you
- We set the day and time rules so the board changes itself
- A player per screen, pre-flashed, in the box ready to go
- On-site install anywhere in Monroe County
- You still change anything you like, from your phone, any time
$1,127 year one · $480/yr after
Pro, 2 screens. Both numbers, up front, before you ask.
Path two
I’ll do it myself
Pick a template, type your items in, and run it on a screen and a stick you already own. Same renderer, same offline behaviour, same time-of-day switching. You just do the hanging and the typing.
- Start from a template built for your kind of business
- Type your own items and prices, change them whenever
- Set your own day and time rules
- Runs on hardware you already have
- Email support if you get stuck
$589 year one · $240/yr after
Starter, 2 screens. You install it yourself and mount your own screens.

The questions people actually ask
Is there a free trial?
Yes — thirty days, and we set it up for you. It is not a signup form: send us your menu, we build your actual board and stand it up on your screen, and the thirty days start from the day it is working. A card is required to start the trial. If it is not right at the end of it, you have lost nothing and neither have we — and if it is, you keep the board you have already been running.
What happens if my internet goes out?
Nothing. The board holds its own copy of the menu on the device behind the screen, and it holds the schedule too — so it keeps rendering, and it still switches from breakfast to lunch at eleven. If the power goes out it comes back on its own to the right menu for that hour. What you lose while the internet is down is the ability to push a change from your phone; the change lands as soon as you are back.
What does it cost, all in?
Pro at two screens is $1,127 in year one and $480 a year after that. Year one is bigger because it carries the things you only buy once: $349 to design your board (once per account, not per screen) and $149 a screen to deploy it, which includes the player. Starter, where you install it yourself, is $589 in year one and $240 after.
Can I just do it myself?
Yes, and we publish that path rather than hiding it. Starter gives you the templates, the editor and the same offline behaviour, and you mount your own screens on hardware you already own. You skip the deploy fee entirely. You do the hanging and the typing.
Do I have to buy hardware from you?
On Pro and Signature the player is included in the deploy fee — one per screen, pre-flashed and set to boot straight to your board. If you already have a device you would rather use, Starter is the tier for that and there is nothing to buy.
Am I locked in?
There is no contract. The licence is annual and it simply ends if you do not renew. To be exact about what that means: every screen on your plan stays current, and a screen beyond your plan stops receiving updates — it does not get switched off from here.
What if I am not in Monroe County, New York?
Then we cannot install it, and we are not going to pretend the drive is free. Starter is the honest tier outside Monroe County — you get the board designed and the software, and you put the screen up. If you are just over the line, email hello@resteasyboards.com and ask; sometimes the answer is yes.
Send us what is on your wall today
We will build your actual board, stand it up on your screen, and you run it for thirty days. The trial starts the day it is working, not the day you ask.
