What you are looking at
A menu board at 1280 by 720, the same size it renders on a TV, scaled down to fit this page. The items and prices are made up; the layout engine, the pagination, the page turns and the schedule handling are the real ones. If the product changes, this changes with it, because there is only one implementation.
What “cut the internet” does
It flips the board into the state it would be in with no network — and then nothing happens, which is the whole point. The board holds its own copy of the menu and its own copy of the schedule, so it keeps rendering and it keeps switching dayparts on time. The counter climbs so the absence is visible.
What it does not do
It does not touch your network, and it is not a rigged side-by-side with a competitor going black. Most players cache something and survive an outage for a while. A rigged comparison would be a lie about exactly the claim this company rests on — and it is the one competitor behaviour a prospect can check in five minutes.
