Rest Easy Boards vs Raydiant

Raydiant publishes around $49 / screen / month. Here is what that buys, what it does not, and the cases where you should buy theirs instead of ours.

Where Raydiant beats us

Nothing we can honestly claim. This page exists for people already stranded there.

Raydiant raised roughly $50M, then collapsed into a distressed asset sale in May 2025. The assets went to Displai, which narrowed the roadmap to hospitality and kept the price point.

Where we beat Raydiant

We are one person in Rochester with no investors to answer to and nothing to wind down. That is a smaller promise, and a keepable one.

Plus the part that is arithmetic rather than opinion: menu changes handled for you are $89 a month flat, whether that is one screen or nine. Per-screen managed service gets more expensive every time you add a screen. Ours does not move.

You should buy Raydiantif…

  • Honestly, nothing — and that is not a sales line. Raydiant raised roughly $50M and its assets went to Displai in a distressed sale in May 2025.
  • If you are still on that hardware and were moved onto a hospitality plan around $49 a screen, this page exists for you: that is roughly four times our Pro licence, for software with no person attached.
  • If Displai is serving you well and the price is fine, stay. We are not going to invent a reason for you to move.

You should talk to us if…

  • You are in or around Rochester and you would rather someone drove over than sent you a mounting guide.
  • Your menu changes by time of day and you do not want to be the person who remembers to swap it.
  • You want the menu changes handled for you at one flat price, not priced per screen.
  • You have looked at the editor in a free trial, closed the tab, and never gone back.

Our numbers, in full

Nothing here is a starting-at

Rest Easy Boards annual pricing. Each tier shows the year-one total and the renewal price, by number of screens.

How it adds up. The licence is $120, $240 or $420 per screen per year. Year one also carries onboarding: $349 for the board design — charged once per account, not per screen, because one board is shown on however many screens you own — plus $149 a screen to deploy it, on Pro and Signature. Signature swaps the $349 stock design for a $749 template drawn for your business. Starter has no deploy fee because you install it yourself.

The annual licence is twelve times the monthly rate with no discount, which is the same thing Yodeck does — their annual plans carry a 0% price discount and the incentive is a free player. We include the player in the deploy fee instead. The concession belongs on the line you pay once, never on the licence you pay forever.

Path one

Do it for me

Send us a photo of your current menu — a printout, a PDF, a napkin. We build the board, set up the breakfast/lunch switch with you, drive over, hang the screens and turn it on. You get a working board and a phone number, not a login and a tutorial.

  • We lay out every item and price for you
  • We set the day and time rules so the board changes itself
  • A player per screen, pre-flashed, in the box ready to go
  • On-site install anywhere in Monroe County
  • You still change anything you like, from your phone, any time

Pro, 2 screens. Both numbers, up front, before you ask.

Path two

I’ll do it myself

Pick a template, type your items in, and run it on a screen and a stick you already own. Same renderer, same offline behaviour, same time-of-day switching. You just do the hanging and the typing.

  • Start from a template built for your kind of business
  • Type your own items and prices, change them whenever
  • Set your own day and time rules
  • Runs on hardware you already have
  • Email support if you get stuck

$589 year one · $240/yr after

Starter, 2 screens. You install it yourself and mount your own screens.
